Common Issues

Some of the most common issues that are presented to a coach are that of Anxiety, Depression and stress related difficulties. Although these conditions are common, to the sufferer they are uncomfortable and often debilitating and can interrupt the flow of life causing all kinds of overwhelming emotional and physical feelings. There are many ways in which receiving coaching can benefit the sufferer for example through the use of Motivational Counselling, CBT -  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Basic Psychoanalysis,  NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming, Self Hypnosis and Relaxation. Harriet has been trained to use these different approaches when working with clients.

Knowledge is power, to follow are some learning resources  of which you may relate to.

Anxiety is characterised by a feeling of uneasiness such as worry and fear. It can affect people differently and can be either mild or severe depending on how it interferes with your daily life. We all feel anxious at some point in our lives however when these feelings are ongoing  they can become problematic.

Anxiety can cause a range of uncomfortable physical symptoms such as muscle tension, headaches, insomnia. During a panic attack a person may experience these unpleasant feelings - palpitations (heart racing, skipping a beat), sweating, shaking, trembling, feeling shortness of breath, chest pains or tightness, nausea or gastrointestinal problems. Each of us are different and therefore may experience fear and panic in our own way.

Life coaching can work positively and effectively for people who suffer from anxiety by first working through any deep rooted emotional issues that may be causing the feelings and then working on CBT- Cognitive Behavior Therapy to observe and deal with any  negative thought patterns.

NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming and self hypnosis are highly effective for changing responses and visualising new perceptions.
